Projects
In order to ensure the integral support for refugees and migrants, one of our objectives is to initiate and implement a variety of projects. Besides our permanent offer of German and alphabetization classes we have also established an audio library for visually impaired speakers of Persian. Currently we are also running an art therapy project for refugee children; the children’s group “Rainbow Children;” and the project “KuB goes Umland,” in which we are trying to extend our activities to the surroundings of Berlin.Residenzpflicht workgroup
The Residenzpflicht (residential obligation) workgroup was founded by members of KuB end of 2009. Their goal is the abolisment of the Residenzpflicht for asylum applicants and people that are tolerated without receiving a resident permit in Berlin and Brandenburg.German and alphabetization classes
The German and alphabetization classes are aimed at refugees and migrants of all ages, but especially for those refugees who cannot attend regular German classes due to financial reasons or to their legal status.All classes are free of charge.

Audio Book Library for visually impaired speakers of Persian
The audio library for visually impaired speakers of Persian was founded in 2001. The project was initiated by one of our colleagues who, being blind, had no access had no access to literature in his Persian mother tongue.Read more: Audio Book Library for visually impaired speakers of Persian
HibB – Hilfe zur Integration für Flüchtlinge mit besonderem Bedarf
Das Projekt HibB – Hilfe zur Integration für Flüchtlinge mit besonderem Bedarf richtet sich an KlientInnen, die aufgrund von Kriegserlebnissen, Folter, Verfolgung, Flucht oder anderer schwerwiegender psychischer oder physischer Gewalt traumatisiert sind. Außerdem können Minderjährige, Alleinerziehende oder MigrantInnen in anderen sozial schwierigen Lebenslagen das Angebot wahrnehmen.
