Starting in April 2010 until April 2011 the „Foruminitiative Berlin“ will offer a theaterproject for migrants and refugees .
It aims to empower its participants to articulate themselves through theater and take an active role in politics.
There will be intensive workshops during the weekends two times a month, where the methods of theater of the opressed of Augusto Boal will be taught.
Everybody is an artist and anyone has a creative energy! This theaterform was especially developed for general people and gives space for individual expression and the exploration of opression and discrimination in society.
Theater and activism will be combined in this project. It aims to support recent campaigns for human rights by presenting the play in early 2011 to a broad audience.
